- ¾ cup soy sauce or coconut aminos (for a soy-free alternative)
- ¼ cup brown sugar substitute (such as monk fruit sweetener, Swerve brown, or allulose)
- 1 tbsp chopped garlic
- 1 tbsp chopped fresh ginger
- 1 tbsp apple cider vinegar
- ½ tsp xanthan gum (for thickening)
In a small saucepan, combine all the ingredients except the xanthan gum
Bring to a simmer over medium-low heat, stirring frequently.
Sprinkle in the xanthan gum and whisk continuously until the sauce reaches the desired consistency.
Allow the sauce to cool slightly before using or storing in an airtight container in the refrigerator.
